Themes & Community Plugins

Personalize your note-taking environment. Switch between handcrafted visual themes and expand what DaVinci can do with community-built plugins.

Changing Themes

To change how DaVinci Notes looks, go to Settings > Appearance. You can switch between curated color palettes:

  • Codex (Default): Deep atmospheric midnight burgundy with wheat typography.
  • Obsidian Dark: High-contrast dark charcoal for night work.
  • Parchment Sepia: Soft, warm tones reminiscent of classic paper.
  • Minimal Light: Crisp, clean bright theme for daytime reading.

Community Plugins

Plugins let you add extra tools like word counters, flashcards, or custom charts to your vault.

1
Enable Community Plugins

Go to Settings > Community Plugins and toggle the switch on.

2
Browse and Install

Click Browse to view popular plugins, review their capabilities, and install them with one click.

Safe Sandboxing

Your privacy matters. Unlike other apps where community plugins can read anything on your computer or send files silently over the internet, DaVinci Notes runs all plugins inside a secure, isolated sandbox. Plugins can only access what you explicitly allow.
