Visual Whiteboard (Canvas)

Brainstorm and arrange your thoughts on an infinite digital canvas. Lay out cards, embed your notes, and draw arrows between ideas.

What is Canvas?

Canvas is like an endless corkboard for your mind. Instead of a long scroll of text, you can place notes anywhere on a 2D plane, draw connecting arrows, and group thoughts into topics.

1
Create a new canvas

Click the New Canvas button in the left sidebar or press Cmd+N and choose Canvas.

2
Add a text card or drop an existing note

Double-click anywhere on the empty space to type a quick sticky note, or drag and drop any note from your file tree directly onto the board.

3
Resize and move

Drag any card by its header to move it, or pull its corners to make it wider or taller.

Connecting Cards with Arrows

To connect two thoughts together:

  1. Hover over any card edge to reveal a small circle handle.
  2. Click and drag the handle over to another card.
  3. Release to create a smooth connecting arrow. You can double-click the line to type a label (like "causes" or "leads to").
Color Coding Click on any card or arrow to choose a color (Rose, Burgundy, Gold, or Teal) to highlight important points.
